Stroking

Skaters will perform forward stroking in both directions on the ice. Music will be provided. Forward crossovers are permitted, but are not required. Skaters are judged on endurance, extension, knee bend, flow, posture, proper push and rhythm. Skaters should register for their skill level as described under the listed eligibility rules. Skaters will compete together in groups according to level. They will wear numbers pinned to their backs for easy identification for the judges. There will be no warm up for this event.

This event is open to Pre-Alpha thru Delta skaters only. The LOC reserves the right combine levels due to low participation.

Placing 1st, 2nd, or 3rd in Stroking events will qualify the skater for Compulsory Events at the State Games of America 2009.
